Californ-I-A

We took a mini-vacation to Huntington Beach, CA. Our trip consisted of us (Kylee and Greg Secrist, Jason and Myself, and Eric and Kamarie) driving all night to Huntington Beach, where we stayed with Grammy and Grandpa Jack.

Our first day there, we played in the pool and then walked down to the end of the pier to a diner called Rubys.

The second day we made a trip to Disney Land. It was the first time Kylee and I had been. It was everything we had imagined!

On the tram into the park. The anticipation was killing us! I'm pretty sure Kylee even ran to the ticket booth.

We were acting like a bunch of kids in Disney Land! Go figure!

The third day (Jason's favorite day) we went to the Angels/Red Sox game and of course the Angel's won! I finally got to put my Christmas present from Jason to good use (my "It's all about baseball" Angels shirt). It was alot more fun than I thought it would be, much better than watching games on TV.

We woke up the next morning, and started the trek back home. The drive really brought out the best in everyone! Jason in my sunglasses... and Eric after Kam got a hold of his hair!!

Camping

We went on our first camping trip together (and my first camping trip in over 10 years!) over the 4th of July! We went up to Bridger Lake where I caught two fish!

I even held this one long enough to take this picture! I promised Jason that I would gut a fish one day but it didn't happen this trip! One step at a time!

When I asked my dad to borrow a fishing pole he said,"Sure, but do you know which end to throw in?!!!!" I guess I showed him, huh!

And, unfortunately this is all Jason could catch! Tough break! That's okay though, I think he was more proud that his not-so-outdoorsy wife caught some!

It rained for almost 5 hours one day! Needless to say we had alot of time on our hands inside the tent... and resorted to interesting ways of entertaining ourselves!

Our Newest Addition...and no it's not what you're thinking!

~Olive Merrill~

Olive (or as I affectionately dubbed her "she-devil") joined us almost 2 weeks ago all the way from my mom's house. At first, she was sad to leave her mom and brother but I think she is beginning to like living at our house. She is a pretty fiesty little gal and loves to attack your legs, feet, arms, hands, or sometimes even your face! We actually share alot of the same interests.

Like myself, Olive also has a thing for purses!

And she doesn't mind snuggling up with good book!

She and Jason also have some things in common!
Like checking out the Angels website for... well I don't really know what for but they seem to enjoy it!

And reading his scriptures!
