Our Story...according to Nicole

Our story is sort of funny, well at least it is to us. If you have heard it before (which most of our close friends and family have) then sorry, you may want to skip this part. Jason and I met on a blind date. This was no ordinary blind date however, because I was dreading it! There are many reasons why I was not looking forward to this date: one is because I had decided to go on a mission and was working on turning in my papers in a couple of weeks, another is because I had been set on many, many (some may say even TOO many) blind dates and most of them just were not fun, yet another reason is because a friend had attempted to line us up a couple of months before and neither one of us was interested. Needless to say, after much persuasion from a friend, I agreed to go on the date.

The first date was...well... less than eventful. There were definitly no fireworks, sparks, embers, or even hot coals on this date. Which I will take full responsibility for. I recongnized that we had some things in common but I was stubborn and didn't want to have fun so I didn't expound on any topics of conversation. After the doorstep scene of Jason saying "Well have fun on your mission" I was just happy to have the date checked off of my list. About a week later, for some reason I started feeling bad that I had not been as nice as I could have on the date. I decided to text Jason just to see what he was up to. Come to find out, Jason didn't even have my number in his phone anymore (according to him it was because his "phone broke")! After he figured out who it was, we started talking quite a bit and ended going out again the next weekend. That date (which I consider our real first date) was awesome, even though I had to pay for it! The next thing I knew I had fallen in love with him and a couple of weeks after that we decided we wanted to be together forever. I never imagined I would find my eternal companion this way, but it all worked out for the best!
