Our Trip to Mexico

Mexico was perfect! It was relaxing and fun and very hard to come back from. And I don't mean hard to get back to regular life, I mean it literally took us 2 hours of sitting in traffic to get back into America! Getting into Mexico on the other hand was a breeze! We flew into San Diego and then rented a car to drive to Rosarito Beach. It was only an hours drive in our sweet Volvo S40 - our wedding gift from Enterprise (I think if they would have known that we were going to Mexico that would have been a different story)! Our resort was within walking distance from the beautiful beach. It was still a little cold so we rarely got in the water but being able to lye on the beach and read was awesome!

One day we went up to Tijuana... that was interesting. Everyone was selling pretty much the same thing and most were very ambitious in getting you to come into their store. It was nice to have Jason who was able to barter with them in Spanish. For one, I'm pretty sure they gave us better deals and for two, they were less likely to talk to me when Jason started talking to them in Spanish.

Another day we went down to Ensenada. It was about an hours drive from where we were staying. We unknowingly took the road less traveled through the old farm land to get there. Ensenada was definitely more of a tourist trap. The streets were crowded with shops and people! My favorite thing was wheel barrels full of candy for sale. Nothing like a portable candy stand!
Overall the trip was amazing! It was fun to be somewhere new and different and to be able to spend so much time together.
