spring is finally here... i hope

The weather was awesome last weekend and this is how we celebrated.
this
+ this

+ this = this! (this is starting to look like a really wierd word)

It took a few "mom calls", a few hours at Lowes, and a few hours of this....

It was a fun project to do together. Except I woke up the next morning and went outside to check on them and 2 of the pretty flowers had died! I don't know if it was because we planted them too close together or if the roots got messed up when we were planting them but I'm sure it will be a learning process.
I have already learned one thing- less is more! We bought way too many flowers for the pots that we had. I totally misjudged the size of the pots. So we through all of the leftover potting soil down and planted the rest of the flowers in a dirt area surrounding our patio. I'm interested to see how those work cuz it didn't seem like the best conditions as far as sunlight and soil but we'll see. And I just want to clarify one thing for my husband- who really has no say in what I post on our blog because he doesn't really have the time or desire to post anything but although Jason looks very confused in his picture, he actually was not. He was asking a retorical question to the pebble packaging people- "Why do river mud rocks have to be muddy?" If anyone has an answer for him please leave a comment! ;)

Okay, I LOVE those pots! You did such a cute job with them! I don't have a yard this year so I am a little sad I don't get to plant any in my yard. But, maybe I am going to have to look for some cute pots like you did!

As dorky as this sounds, I am so excited to plant flowers at our place... well, the place we will have soon enough. But, I love your flower pots, they turned out so cute!
