spring is finally here... i hope

The weather was awesome last weekend and this is how we celebrated.
this
+ this

+ this = this! (this is starting to look like a really wierd word)

It took a few "mom calls", a few hours at Lowes, and a few hours of this....

It was a fun project to do together. Except I woke up the next morning and went outside to check on them and 2 of the pretty flowers had died! I don't know if it was because we planted them too close together or if the roots got messed up when we were planting them but I'm sure it will be a learning process.
I have already learned one thing- less is more! We bought way too many flowers for the pots that we had. I totally misjudged the size of the pots. So we through all of the leftover potting soil down and planted the rest of the flowers in a dirt area surrounding our patio. I'm interested to see how those work cuz it didn't seem like the best conditions as far as sunlight and soil but we'll see. And I just want to clarify one thing for my husband- who really has no say in what I post on our blog because he doesn't really have the time or desire to post anything but although Jason looks very confused in his picture, he actually was not. He was asking a retorical question to the pebble packaging people- "Why do river mud rocks have to be muddy?" If anyone has an answer for him please leave a comment! ;)

Last night we went to a Bee's game for Kyle's birthday.
Jason caught Kam off gaurd with the camera.

Jason caught himself off gaurd with the camera!

Jason's Easter Basket
J hid my Easter basket behind the cereal in our pantry since he knows I don't eat cereal much. Pretty clever idea.
J- modeling his Easter outfit! He's funny and wierd and cute all at the same time. Who says men can't multi-task???
This is our sad attempt to make cool Easter eggs. I bought a kit that you paint the eggs instead of dye them. Let's just say there is a reason that people keep buying the dye kits. It was pretty fun though. And the best part was getting to have deviled eggs afterwards! However, since this was the first time I have colored eggs on my own, I didn't know you were supposed to put the eggs in the refrigerator after, so we had to throw most of our eggs away! What a waste!
Olive having a little of my deviled egg and canteloup left overs!

Olive thought this was her basket! She's cute!
