It was the same way with High School... in College all I wanted was to re-live the high school days.
Hailey and Andrew got married last Thursday. On the way to (or maybe from?) the temple I started thinking how grateful I am to be married and feel somewhat settled.
Jason and I are used to each other by now (in the good sort of way, not the rut-ish sort of way). I think I'm getting used to the responsibilities that come with marriage and owning a house. I no longer fret over paying the bills or if the dishes aren't done (which is happening more and more frequently).
I guess what I'm trying to say through all this blabbering is that after 2 years and some odd months I wouldn't want to trade spots with Hailey. Being a newlywed, having all the attention on you for a day, being showered with gifts- yeah it's great.
But there's something great about being with someone who makes you feel a simple kind of peace. Someone who understands exactly what you're trying to say (most of the time) without having to blabber on and on like I'm doing right now.
Hailey and Andrew's day went off without a hitch.
That's a lie.
There was one hitch.
The nasty storm clouds that loomed over the backyard the first half of the reception. However, with one huge (and might I add destructive), gust of wind the clouds were gone and the night was exceptional.
Here are a few of my favorite photobooth sessions:
Mr. and Mrs. Morris
(not sure if I spelled that right)
Is it just me or is my tongue in the left picture shaped like a heart?
The couple who caught the bouquet and garter
& the fabulous photographers whom I just adore!
Welcome to our crazy family Andrew. Although you already knew what you were getting yourself into.
