I would say it's about time that I changed my blog header since Christmas was, oh... 2 months ago. That's how life goes around here these days. I figured updating the blog needed to be a priority since I had a little down time while my husband is playing Super Mario World  and Harper is fast asleep. I had pretty much given up on our blog until I noticed a post on a friend's blog about all of her blog books. And yes... even though I have quit writing on my own blog I still occasionally blog surf. So here I am again, committing to the blog. Luckily I've noticed that a lot of people don't really keep up on their blogs, at least not my friends, so I'm looking forward to being a little more candid in my posting as I'm banking on the hope that not a lot of people will read my blog anyways.

In a nutshell since I've posted last... Harper is now 11 months old! Time has flown by the last couple of months. It's funny because the first three months of Harper's life went by so incredibly slow and now I can't believe he is almost turning one. Preparations are underway for an unforgettable "Suessian" 1st birthday party. One thing I've realized since becoming a mom is that I'm not much of a newborn baby person. I keep asking Jason how we can have another child but without the nine months from hell and then another questionable five months after. I love the stage Harper is in now and I can only imagine it will get even better once he starts talking. He already gives us hours of entertainment with silly faces, trying to walk and learning new tricks. I've realized that our leeway time is almost over. We need to get into ship shape because this little guy is so smart and is soon going to be mimicking everything we say and do, for better or worse. Here are a few pictures of Harper from the last couple of months.

Not much else is new with us. I'm working two part time jobs (like very part time) and being mommy while Jason is still at Out of The Woods. Our little Sawyer puppy died over the holidays, in fact it was only two days before Christmas, which totally bummed us out for the entire Holiday weekend. I still miss him very much! He has definitely softened my heart to all animals. I never used to be the kind of person who would tear up when an animal abuse/adoption commercial came on and now I do. I want another dog for Harper to grow up with but we want to wait until we have a yard. Harper absolutely loves cats and dogs. He's pretty cute like that.

I am not a newborn mommy either!! Which really surprised me. I kinda of just want to scream or cry just thinking about those first few months... But I sure do LOVE these kiddos, they are so cute! And I love that our boys can start to play together, so fun!

Well I look forward to your blogs, even though we are closer now than we have ever been. My heart is just so filled with joy to have you all in my life. YOu know the newborn phase is very hard and some people handle it better than others and somehow we all make it through and then the fun begins. You are right, the entertaining kids do from this point until teenage years, they should get paid for. I totally enjoy just sitting there watching them play, interacting with each other, listening to them talk to each other, and seeing how they use what they have learned just by watching us. Kasen is good at that. anything grandpa does, kasen will try it. they watch everything even when you dont think they are. I love having Harper over, He make sme smile even when im stressed, his smiley little face is so contagious... you cant help but be happy when he is near. I love you ALL very much!!!
