A Girls Best Friend

We all know the saying "A man's best friend is his _____" (fill in the blank...rhymes with fog). But what about a girl's best friend? What is that? And why don't we have a saying? Well I'm here to argue that a girl's best friend are these: What girl doesn't just LOVE receiving some of these?!?!?! It doesn't really matter what kind (well preferably our favorite) and it doesn't really matter who they're from (well preferably from our husbands/boyfriends) but we're not picky... right? I know, I know some of you are thinking What a waste of money or I would rather have ____________ (fill in the blank). BUT I'm pretty confident that NO girl would be upset to receive flowers.

These little beauties were sitting on one of my agent's desk this morning. I commented to her how pretty they were. Not 5 seconds after I finished my sentence she insisted that I have them. I, of course, protested (secretly hoping that she would persistently insist); she did and now they are proudly displayed on my desk. I LOVE tulips! This is the same agent that gave me a sweet Valentine gift for doing one tiny, little, minuscule task for her yesterday (which by the way is my job). It's just nice to be appreciated for doing your job! I love working here because everyone is great about showing their appreciation. Which reminds me of my personal favorite part of the Super Bowl. I ate crap food like the best of them, then I slept through what I'm told was the best part of the game. BUT then after the game we watched this show: I learned that people especially in their jobs, but also in all other aspects of life, just want to be appreciated by the people around them. I mean a raise never hurts, but a simple thank you card or gift or when an agent unexpectedly brings me the best brownie in the world or calls just to ask me if I want something from Starbucks-- definitely makes each day of work worth it! I definitely have my days where each and every agent bothers me to no avail but then days like this roll around and I remember how grateful I am for this job.

Not much else to post about... life is normal...i guess that's good. Jason decided to re-finish our kitchen cabinets for me for my birthday. I think they bug him more than they bug me since he works around and creates nice cabinets all day long. I hope they turn out good. As for now, I just like not having to open cabinet doors when I unload the dishwasher. Eliminates a step!
